This is because River has yet to lose since Eduardo Coudet took over as head coach and is currently second in Zone B of the Apertura Tournament, while Boca carries a strong 12-match unbeaten run and is well-positioned both locally and internationally. In recent years, there has been great parity between River and Boca, a testament to which is the fact that in the last 10 matches, 'Millonario' has won five times, while 'Xeneize' has won four times and the remaining encounter ended in a draw. The occasions when the balance tipped in River's favor were in the 2021, 2023, and 2024 Professional League (2-1, 1-0, and 1-0), the 2023 League Cup (2-0), and the 2025 Apertura Tournament (2-1). Boca, for its part, managed to prevail in the 2022 and 2024 League Cup (1-0 and 3-2), the 2022 Professional League (1-0), and the 2025 Clausura Tournament (2-0). The only Superclásico of the last 10 that ended in a draw was the corresponding to the 2024 League Cup, with one goal each.
